November 27, 2020: I’m still alive at seventy two and have learned, life is like feeling your way in the dark, you never know when you may walk off a cliff or trip over a chair. So, shine a little light in your life to help you avoid surprises.
Painting and drawing is something I
do for the love of it, and that about sums me up. I show all my work, the good, the bad and the ugly just as it comes out.
I moved from Blackstone, Massachusetts and now live and work in Gloucester Virginia.
The only teacher I ever had is the guy I see in the mirror and as I said, I'm a different kind of artist, I show all my work, just as it comes out, the good, the bad and the ugly.
I studied art on my own, two of my mentors have been, John Singer Sargent and John Singleton Copley. Copley, was born in Boston, Massachusetts July 3, 1738. Most famous for Portraiture he was self-taught. Learning that encouraged me to work on my own.
My preferences is portrait painting, still life and landscapes, though I enjoyed working with many other subjects and mediums. Oil paint is my preferred medium, but I also enjoy working with watercolor, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink and pastels.
Prices for works are upon request unless posted.
