I now live and work in Gloucester, Virginia, where I built a studio.

About Me

Described me as a sigma, introvert, dyslexic Marian Corps Viet Nam veteran.

I paint and draw for the enjoyment of creating art.

I was born in the town of Framingham, Massachusetts September 21, 1948, which makes me seventy-four.

After my mother divorced my father in 1959, she, my two brothers and I moved around a lot.

As an adult I ended up in Blackstone, Massachusetts. In 2015 I moved to Gloucester Virginia.

Most of my life I had little money, so my only source of art education was practices. This web site is what I use to show some of my work, raw and in progress just as it comes out of the tube, so to speak. I show the good, the bad and the ugly.

Two of my mentors are, John Singer Sargent and John Singleton Copley. Copley was born in Boston, Massachusetts July 3, 1738. Most famous for Portraiture, he was self-t

My preferences are portrait painting, still life and landscapes, though I enjoyed working with many other subjects and mediums. Oil paint is my preferred medium, but I also enjoy working with watercolor, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink and pastels.

I love paint talk, so I made a "Contact Me Here" section above.aught and learning this encouraged me to work solo.
